The Geotechnical Engineering Research Team (GERT) which will be organizing the 3rd International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering (ICGE’13) at Hammamet-Tunisia, from February 21 to 23,2013.

The president of the ICGE’13 conference is Prof. Mounir BOUASSIDA (Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tunis).A prominent international scientific committee is selected and chaired by Prof. Zoubeir LAFHAJ (École Centrale de Lille France). Dr. Wissem FRIKHA (Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tunis) is the chair of Organizing Committee of ICGE’13. Well-recognized professors and experts in Geotechnical Engineering and main Civil Engineering and Environmental fields constitute the Scientific Committee. This committee will guarantee the high scientific quality of accepted papers.

The main objective of the ICGE'13 is to promote good relationship and cooperation between senior and young geotechnical researchers and engineers. Such an international event also provides an opportunity for the exchange of experiences and information about theoretical, practical and technical aspects.

The conference is also an occasion to focus on the developments, advances and innovation achievements in soil mechanics, rock mechanics and applied geophysics.

ICGE'13, also, includes three workshops: 

1. Workshop on "Sustainable Construction",

2. Workshop on "Geosynthetics", 

3. Workshop on  "Micromechanical Experimentation and Modeling of Granular Soils”.
