China-Belgium Forum for Ph.D students of Civil Engineering

Introduction

The College of Civil Engineering of Tongji University and the Magnel Laboratory for Concrete Research of Ghent University will jointly organize a China- Belgium Forum for Ph.D students of Civil Engineering in July 2020, at Ghent Belgium, financially supported by the Graduate School of Tongji University. The aim of this event is to enliven the academic atmosphere among Ph.D students, to expand their global perspective, and to enhance the existing cooperation between Tongji University and Ghent University. The activities of this event include lectures, discussions, and visit of laboratories. We are planning to invite professors and 15 Ph.D. students from the Magnel Laboratory for Concrete Research of Ghent University, to join this forum. Now, we are going to select 15 outstanding Ph.D. students from the College of Civil Engineering of Tongji University to participate this forum.

Important Dates：

March 20:   Submission of your application with an abstract (less than 150words) to  jiaolong_Zhang@tongji.edu.cn

March 27：  Publishing of the Accepted applications

May 31:     Submission of full paper with a length of 2-4 pages.

July:        Participation of the forum at Ghent

Notices

1、Participation of the forum should not go against taking courses and examinations for the students.

2、The expenses of traveling, accommodation, Visa, insurance of the students will be partly covered by this project fund. The remaining part should be covered by their supervisors’ research funds. Please ask your supervisor for a written consent (e.g. email or wechat is also ok) before submission of your application.

3、The selected students will be required to submit a full paper with a length of 2-4 pages by end of May 2020. The students, who will not do so, will be disqualified from this forum.

中比土木工程博士生论坛

论坛简介

为了活跃研究生的学术氛围，拓展研究生国际视野，加强我校和根特大学的交流合作，在同济大学研究生院的资助下，同济大学土木工程学院与根特大学Magnel混凝土研究实验室将于2020年7月在比利时根特联合举办“中比土木工程博士生论坛”。该论坛将以学术报告、论文交流、专题研讨、以及实验室参观等多种形式开展。论坛拟邀请根特大学Magnel混凝土研究实验室的知名教授和15名博士生参加研讨。现从同济大学土木工程学院选拔 15 名优秀博士研究生赴根特参加交流活动。

重要日期：

3月20日: 请有意参加论坛的同学填写报名信息表、草拟英文摘要（无格式要求，字数150字以内），通过电子邮件将报名信息表和英文摘要发送至张姣龙老师邮箱：Jiaolong_Zhang@tongji.edu.cn，邮件标题注明“姓名+2020年研究生国际学术论坛”

3月27日： 网上公示参加论坛学生名单

5月31日：提交2-4页的论文全文

7月：     赴根特参加论坛，时间暂定2020年7月13-15日，如有变动另行通知

注意事项

1、参加论坛学生不能以参加论坛为由而影响正常的课程学习、考试。

2、参加论坛学生的国际旅费、住宿费原则上由论坛项目经费资助，不足部分由导师科研经费承担，请在申请前务必征得导师同意，并将微信或邮件截图一起发回。

3、通过选拔的学生将需提交2-4页学术论文，供会议主办方出版会议论文集，不提供论文者取消参加资格。
