澳洲Wollongong大学招收研究人员或博士研究生

Research Associate in Geotechnical Engineering
PhD Scholarship in Geotechnical Engineering
Fixed term (3 years)

The School of Civil, Mining and Environmental Engineering is one of the three schools within the Faculty of Engineering. The GRE Centre an outstanding record of research achievements currently employing close to a dozen Research-only academics and about 40 PhD students, supported by significant grants from the Australian Research Council and the Cooperative Research Centre for Railways.

The School is seeking high calibre candidates to work on a three-year geotechnical project funded by the Australian Research Council involving the study of the cyclic stress-strain behaviour of chemically treated soils. The scope of the study includes detailed chemical and mineralogical examination of lignosulfonate-treatment of unstable soils during cyclic loading using X-Ray CT scan and atomic absorption tests. The research will also involve experimental studies, field work and constitutive model development.

The prospective candidate must have a first degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. A research degree such as PhD in Geotechnical engineering is essential.
