From Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, 2014, the 2nd China National Symposium on Multi-field Coupled Problems of Geomaterials and Geoenvironmental Engineering is held in Yifu building, Tongji University. Prof. Chen Yiyi, deputy vice president of Tongji University and Prof. Chen Yunmin from Zhejiang University as well as chairman of Chinese Institution of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering-China Civil Engineering Society, attend the opening ceremony and gives speeches.
Totally 218 Experts from different universities, research institutes and enterprises including Zhejiang University, Hohai University, Southeast University and Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics exchange ideas and have deep discussions on multi-field coupled problems of geomaterials and geoenvironmental engineering, focusing on the fields of landfill, underground disposal of waste, CO2 storage and disposal of contaminated soil. 11 invited reports and 52 special reports are made, showing the latest achievements in the field of multi-field coupled problems of geomaterials and geoenvironmental engineering, which promote the development of this field.
